I noticed the other day that Google did a quasi-update for pageranks. I didn’t notice any sites go up in pr, but a bunch got knocked waayyy down. Rand Fishkin pointed out on seomoz that one theory is that Google was perhaps targeting sites that sell links. There is a list of sites that show their page ranks before and after the update. Some got knocked from a 9 to a 6. Crazy! (Forbes went from a 7 to a 5!)
At any rate, I’m sure Google will do another update to adjust this, and also to raise the pr’s of other sites. We’ll see when (and if) this happens - it will be interesting to see. Maybe seogurl will move up from a pr0.
I will say, however, that I don’t think Google’s “pagerank” system is that important. (Ok, that probably sounds lame considering I just admitted seogurl is a 0…but I think most seo’s will agree.) Google even admits that it doesn’t really reflect the true value of the website - it’s just an estimated indicator of it. I think this is especially true since it’s been so long since Google did an update. Now, I know that seogurl is a pretty new website, and doesn’t have a ton of content, so most likely the pr will stay 0 for a while. I’m not too concerned about that…I’ll just try to develop good content, and eventually the pr will reflect that.

Hi there,
Goole knocks down the companies are selling links in the each update made by them. And yes, they will do the another update to sort it out the issue, specially those companies and websites fallen down in the previous update and their pr (page ranks) were disturbed as well. Google is really generous :).
Write the unique, and optimized content, and focus a little more on getting the links. The greater will be the links, the higher will be the PR :). I personally am very sure, it is ten time better than bloging, article and forum submissions, ofcourse doing all this together helps 10 times more than only getting the links, but lets say getting the quality links should be your first priority in order to get the better search results.
All the best and hoping to see your new post soon.
Regards,
Tina
